DURHAM, NC – October 13, 2016 – The team at American Tobacco Campus, a national model for urban redevelopment, has scoured the Triangle and beyond for interesting concepts to highlight at the award-winning mixed-use project. The results are unique, locally focused options for the 4,000 workers at the campus each day and more than 1 million visitors each year. The new restaurant/retail options are:
- Bella Trio Spa & Salon – A locally owned and operated full salon and day spa with two other Durham locations. Launched by a former Durham Public School teacher, Bella Trio offers affordable beauty, styling and spa services designed for Durham’s working woman. The Salon will be adjacent to the Aloft Durham Downtown.

- Wedgie’s Sandwiches – The beloved Southern Pines pizza dough focused sandwich shop will open its second location on the ground floor of Diamond View III. Owned by a former golf pro, Wedgie’s aims to brings its promise of “Bite Me & You’ll Love Me” to Durham’s hungry and discerning diners.

- Maybelle’s – From the successful team behind Tyler’s Taproom comes this unique BBQ and biscuit concept. Aimed to meet the needs of breakfast diners all the way through dinner, Maybelle’s will offer scratch made biscuits, eastern NC pulled pork BBQ, ribs, brisket and amazing sides. They will also serve adult and alcohol free milkshakes and southern-style cakes and pies. Maybelle’s is proud to serve local, pasture raised meat and other sustainable ingredients. The restaurant’s entry will be via the Crowe Lobby.
