Ten Nonprofits Collect Prizes in American Tobacco’s 7th Triangle Christmas Tree Challenge
Trees Remain on Display Through January 1, 2017.
(Durham) – Dec. 18, 2016 – Ten area nonprofits came away with prizes as part of American Tobacco’s seventh annual Triangle Christmas Tree Challenge. The terrific tannenbaums will remain on display through January 1, 2017.
More than 50 nonprofits decorated Christmas trees at Diamond View Park in front of Aloft Downtown Durham hotel, most reflecting the important mission of each organization. The Tree of Bikes, based on a project done in New Zealand and now the first of its kind in the United States, has transformed what was for more than a decade a modest effort to give local children bicycles for Christmas into a community-wide event to celebrate the spirit of giving.”
